Remember that we are using the oven! The oven gets very hot! Never touch anything in the oven, including trays, sides, racks, and the food you put in it without oven mitts or potholders. When you take your cookies out of the oven, ask an adult to to take the cookies out, or establish that you can take the cookies out if your parent/guardian is comfortable letting you.
These are pictures of me making chocolate chip cookies. In the first picture I have the bag of all purpose flour I am going to use. In the second I have 2 1/4 cups of flour, baking soda, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, salt, 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix that together in a large bowl.Then I have 2 sticks of butter, the butter in a mixing bowl, a bag of sugar, 3/4 cups of sugar, vanilla, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, a bag of brown sugar, 3/4 cups of packed brown sugar, all the butter, sugar, vanilla, and brown sugar in the bowl, all of that mixed together, 2 eggs, the eggs mixed into the bowl, add flour mixture little by little, 2 cups of chocolate chips, chocolate mixed in, tablespoon cookie thingy, a blob of cookie dough in that, the blob on a cookie sheet, all cookie dough in blobs on cookie sheet, finished cookies.
Bake cookies for about 10 minutes in the oven at 375 degrees. Once done let cool and enjoy!!!
