In your kitchen you probably have lots of different cooking appliances. So, we will review all the major appliances and tools.
Silverware: Spoons, forks, knives. Forks and knives can be sharp so be careful.
Major Appliances: Stove, Oven, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer. Be careful at the stove because there is fire, the oven is very hot, in the microwave some things can melt or blow up, in the freezer certain things that freeze shouldn’t be frozen. Look at labels for warnings!
Food: Make sure that all the food you are handling doesn’t have ingredients that you or someone in your family isn’t allergic to.
Cups: Make sure that when you are handling cups you don’t drop them or spill. If you do, tell a parent and clean it up.
Making a Recipe
Make sure that when you’re making something to:
Tell an adult exactly what you are doing. If they aren’t comfortable letting you do some things that are required in the recipe, ask for assistance or find a different recipe.
Make sure you read all the directions before you do anything.
